The walk begins at Pui O bus stop. Pass the abandoned paddy fields, where the buffalos dwelt, continue the road to the Tin Hau Temple. Follow the direction to Mong Tung Wan Youth Hostel, climb uphill and turn right, joining the Chi Ma Wan Country Trail. After a number of twists and turns, arrive Lung Mei via Yi Long. Follow a fairly steep path to Lo Yan Shan, drop down and then ascend to an unnamed hill. Walk along the path leading downhill to the road at Shap Long. Make a left turn and keep on the road back to Pui O.

It is a strenuous and lengthy hike
Chi Ma Wan peninsula, situated on the southeastern corner of Lantau Island, remains virtually untouched . Winding through the woodland from Yi Long to Lung Mei may be a bit tedious, yet the coastal trail offers a number of gorgeous spots for enjoying spectacular views over the offshore islands.
Chi Ma Wan peninsula, with such a vast piece of land, splendid natural beauty and well-marked hiking trails, makes me wonder why it has never been included as a section of the Lantau Trail.
